Question

Using studio one 3.5 for the first time on a new faster HP laptop 2,30 ghz 16 GB ram solid state drive windows 10. CPU meter spikes from 3% to 100% randomly even when nothing is running. No tracks. Nothing. Makes a click or crackle with each spike. Using presonus 24c interface. I think i have tried most of what i can find as far a solutions. Any ideas or similar situations? Thanks!

yes I have the same issue on my mac. god forbid I try to run 32 bit mode it smacks up to 100% violently over and over again as soon as the DAW gets opened. I've noticed it happens in other DAWs for me as well. Tried the usual fixes/troubleshooting but it's not a ram thing. can't figure it out.
