Please add a Midi Panic menu option or button close to midi icon on left bottom side for the VST and AU Instruments when midi freeze, It appens with a lot of Instruments when arranging pop dance music with sinths. thanks a lot.

There already is a midi panic button, it's called All Notes Off, you can tie it to a KC, CC or access it from the MIDI Monitor. It sends an all sounds off to VST's and external devices. Those device that understand that message will answer to it. Obviously it doesn't solve issues with VST's behaving unexpectedly by themselves. You would need something like reset ASIO engine or similar for that.

All Notes Off  (ANF) does not always work so this request from 2016 is still a MUST. (it's 2020 already..)

I am using Yamaha MODX and when it hangs ANF simplt does NOTHING.

All notes off isn't working with VSTi (in my case Arturia Jupiter 8).

Some VSTis don’t respond correctly to the Midi Panic message All Notes Off CC123.

When I saw this happen in the past I emailed the VSTIs manufacturer and they fixed it.

VirtualCZ, Monark, are two that I can think of that at one point didn’t respond to All Notes Off. Studio One was sending the message, their VSTIs were just filtering it out.

Have you tried contacting them?
