Question

Hello,

I recently got a Revelator and am attempting to use it with studio one 5. Studio one gives me only the option of revelator as my audio device. In such a state I can't hear anything else I've recorded nor use inputs for other inputs on a song, Is it really possible that one can only use revelator as the only audio device? This of course would be extremely limiting. It doesn't appear possible to use revelator in my other daws to record either. I must ne missing something. Pease excuse my ignorance but revelator's protocols are novel and confusing me.

Make sure that Universal Control gets installed. This provides the ASIO driver.

Studio One uses the ASIO driver which shows up as "PreSonus DSP USB" inside of DAWs.

This will give you access to the mixer and the 6 ASIO streams

I'm in the same boat. Only gives the option of revelator on windows for audio device.  Other DAWS have the option to have separate input and output devices.
 How can I  record audio from my interface, out to the universal control mixer to send out on streams etc?
I've spent a solid 5 hours on it now, just hoping someone's got an answer!

You cannot send audio from other interfaces into Universal Control, because it is a control layer for the mixer inside of the microphone. The mixer deals exclusively with the Revelator driver streams.

"The Revelator is a device that is meant to be your audio interface for things like Zoom or Skype meetings, maybe as a vocal microphone. However the unit will take over as the main audio driver if you have it connected.. unfortunately you're unable to use 2 interfaces simultaneously. " From Studio One support.

For multiple audio devices in Studio One.

Studio One does allow for multiple audio devices to be used as separate input and output devices. However you cannot aggregate input nor output devices.  On Mac you have the option of directly selecting separate input and output devices.  For Windows, you will need to select the Windows Audio (WDM) driver device. From there you can select different input and output devices by pressing the "Control Panel" button in Studio One next to the Audio Device select drop down.

If you want to aggregate input or output devices, this can be done on a Mac using the Audio/MIDI Setup utility. Create an Aggregate device and select your devices for input or output in the order you wish them to appear (be ordered).
