Question

When I playback back my recording or am recording with more than just a couple tracks on my laptop, it starts to glitch and the audio starts skipping. It especially glitches when using MIDI drums. My laptop has 16 GB of ram, I have a solid state drive 50 GB free and a hard disk drive with 600 GB free. What do I need to do to get my computer to handle using studio one?

Check your buffer size under the Audio Setup ...

Studio One / Preferences   - Audio Setup tab. - processing tab   Try or experiment changing the “dropout protection” values

Or while your there click on “Audio Device” tab and change the “Device Block Size” to a higher number (samples)

That should help a lot.
