Why is Studio-192 Buffer Size Limited to 2048 (not 4096)?

Hi folks! I'm confused about my limitations on buffer size on Studio 192. I can only seem to go to 2048, but the directions say that I should be able to go twice as high. This is what I'm reading:

Block Size. Sets the buffer size.
From this menu, you can set the buffer size for your Studio 192 from 16 to 4,096
samples. Lowering the buffer size will lower latency; however, this will also
increase performance demands on your computer. In general, you will want
to set the buffer size as low as your system can safely support. If you begin to
hear pops, clicks, or distortion in your audio path, try raising the buffer size.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I have a brand new Dell Windows 10 laptop with 32GB Ram and USB3 so my system should be OK.

Thanks in advance.

Donnie

Yes please! Would love to know why. I left Cubase for Studio One. I was able to run 8096 in Cubase, which meant I could run entirely too many plugins but I had the ability. I feel like I'm back on my old 4 track having to bounce everything down.
