I have a shure CVC-18 mic which requires phantom power connected to a studiolive III 32SC. My issue is that I cannot fully mute it. I am still picking up sound for my livecast (USB out). I am resorting to turning off the phantom power as a mute which isn’t ideal because of a noise when turning it on. My dynamic mics in the same config are muting fine. Is there a setting that I need fit these condenser type mics to mute?

I can't think of a reason why a phantom-powered input source would mute/un-mute any differently than a non-phantom-powered microphone.

Follow your signal path from microphone to cable to pre-amp to converter to Studio One and then the track you are monitoring.

You are hearing the phantom-powered microphone either because you have it up/on the hardware mixer or because you have Monitoring enabled on a track for which it is the input source.

Hope this helps.
