How do I restore my computer's native sound driver?

At some point, when switching to the AudioBox ASIO Driver from my computer's Primary Sound Driver using my DAW (FL Studio) the native sound driver (Primary Sound Driver, RealTek High Definition Audio) has stopped functioning. The troubleshooting problem found is that "Audio device is disabled." In my device manager all audio inputs and outputs are enabled and I've tried updating, reinstalling and disabling all of the relevant drivers to try to fix this issue.

This has now happened to two separate computers running different generations of Windows (8.1 and 7). Both are now mute (unless they play through the AudioBox USB). This has become incredibly frustrating and I am now grasping for any straws leading to a solution. Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you've already tried everything I would try.  If you haven't already:

In device manager, remove the stock audio device and then in device manager "scan for hardware changes".
