I've recently been trialing all kinds of studio monitors, and fallen in love with the Sceptre S8, but the hiss (even with the input gain all the way down) is just too much for me in a quiet nearfield setting. I know I'm not the only person disappointed by the self-noise in the Sceptre amplifiers. PreSonus support says they aren't currently working on an improved version, but if this request gets enough votes their developers will look into it.
Does anybody else want Sceptres with a lower noise floor?
