Question: When recording MIDI using BOSS DR670 Drum Machine, Can Studio One 5 Artist record Drum portion on one track and the Bass portion on a second track simultaneously? I noticed on Boss DR670 MIDI settings it shows Drum = Channel 1 and Bass= Channel 2. Can Studio one record these channels separately on two different MIDI tracks at the same time? If yes, how do I set up Studio one to have this happen?

Thanks in advance if there is a solution

I answered my own question.  Last night in Studio One 5 a saw each track you can select from the input" pull down menu" an individual channel. So for the first track I used pull down menu and selected Channel 1.  On a separate track. I click on Channel 2 for the input.

I played drum machine ( both drum and bass playing) and hit record.  Studio one on the first track ( channel 1) recorded all the Drum MIDI parts, and on the second track ( channel 2) it recorded only the Bass MIDI parts.

Very convenient.   Now it is easy to edit the bass midi for pitch changes as I want during the songs and I do not have to worry about changing any of the drum MIDI by accident.
