how to stop a original clip being edited while editing a duplicate clip

Okay so im completely new to presonus studio one but have worked in many different DAW's and none so far have ever done this to me before so why now with this.

so i copy a midi clip say 8 bars ive already writen the notes i want buti want to change some note in the copy of the clip to say make a build riff. but it changes the original clip as well as the duplicate copy how do i stop this happening its annoying and time consuming.

Bounce the copy before editing. This makes it a separate entity.

so ive found the answer myself but im sure they is a better way of doing this but so far right clicking events and seperate shared copies which to be fair i shouldnt have to do so im now asking is they any options where this is default setting rather than something i need to do each time or are you going to let me figure it out for myself again
