It would be great if there would be a possibility to see event behind automation when using "expand envelopes"...instead of having to put automation on top of the events like in picture 1 (then I can not edit events nor see their color) or "expanding enveloves" like in picture 2 (then I don't see the events behind automation and it is harder to draw automation)....so the combination of those two like in picture 3 would be ideal...
