Hello Everybody,
I'm writing to check if anyone can confirm if StudioLive Series III Rack supports the "Digital Patching" Feature included in StudioLive 32/64 Mixers, even available in older models.
Why I need this ?
I will use the mixer mainly for streaming. I will have microphones and some instruments connected to the mixer, create a mix on it, and transmit it through apps like MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
As you might know, most of this apps let you use your mixer as the digital interface from where you're transmitting, but you cannot choose with channels are sent through the app, and most times they automatically pick channels 1 and 2 as the stereo sound they will broadcast.
Digital patching allows you to create a mix you want to transmit, and then instruct the mixer to re-assign USB Channels 1 & 2 with the mix you have created. My understanding is that you even can send that mix with all the filters and equalization you added to each channel.
I currently own a StudioLive 16.0.2 mixer and, while I tried several ways so solve this, I ended up sending a mix through AUX 1 & 2 to a 2x2 additional interface and broadcasting that.
Now that I'm planning upgrading my mixer, I want to solve everything on a single interface.
I know I can do this on a StudioLive 32SC, for example, but its out of my budget. StudioLive 16R sounds as a good option, but documentation is not clear around having this feature available or not.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Sebastián
