Aloha Presonus universe,  I am an old TASCAM 4 track guy who finally took the initiative to move into the digital age, but must confess I haven't a clue on how to use Studio One.  I orderd the Studio One 4 bundle and hell, even the speakers aren't working as of yet.  So, when I say I am a newbie, there should be a recording studio for dummies...and the others that arent up to THAT speed yet, hahaha.  Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.  Mahalo all!  :)

Hi.  There are lots of tutorials for Studio One on YouTube.  The Presonus channel has some good stuff.  I would recommend the Joe Gilder Channel on YouTube, he has a lot of very specific tutorials on Studio One and the recording process.  Markus Huyskens also has a channel I recommend, on YouTube.  I was a Tascam Portastudio 4 user before I learned S1.  Now, I have a little Roland 4 track for demos (Micro BR) which is digital, so dumping demos into Studio One is pretty simple.  If it is the Tascam Portastudio 4 track, then, in my experience using that to record and then transferring to S1 can give some analogue warmth to your recordings once they have been transferred.  However the transfer is a bit of a hassle.  Welcome to digital.  What is your interface and monitor setup?
