My Universal Control AI often sudenly crashes on my Macbook Pro when I'm doing live shows. It will hold fine when it's set up but after the band gets going it crashes and I have to restart it. It can happen several times per show and is getting really frustrating. Of course when it crashes the audio dies for a split second which is really embarrasing. Luckily most people don't realize what happened and it passes quickly, unless they are looking at my laptop and notice the screen's dramatic change and watch me restart it. Can't figure out why, any ideas? All hardware and software updates are current and I'm running OS X El Capitan version 10.11.3. I made sure I have the most current version of UC Surface and all correct firmware updates for both mixers, yet it still crashes.

Make sure that you are on the most current version of UC Surface, which replaced Universal Control AI. UCS is the only version compatible with El Cap, and is most likely the reason for the crashes.

Go to your presonus account for the latest UCS and firmware. Make sure to update both, and also update any ipad apps to UCS. If all apps and firmware are not a versioning match, then performance will suffer.
