Running Reaper and Capture  All up to date

I also cannot get any playback through the Firewire and when I load a song it will not playback.  I should have it set to ASIO correct?

That question is open to many answers. When installation of UC and Capture went well but you still can't record anything in, or play anything from Capture then my guess would be that something's off in your computer's configuration.
