Question

It would appear that this question has been asked a multitude of times by different users, however I still don't see an answer.  Quoting from the Owners Manual...."Rewind. Press once to regress playback by bar, second, frame, or base sample rate depending on mode. Press and hold for continuous rewind. Press the Rewind and Fast Forward buttons simultaneously to Return to Zero"

I have set up keyboard shortcuts to accomplish this, however I would like to be able to move the timeline in the same increments when using my FaderPort.  Anyone?

I had same question. According the Presonus support today: "the buttons on the Faderport are static and there is no way to change the inherent functionality of any specific buttons." MCBrien, how about you reword your query as a feature request (as was advised to me by support), and we'll start collecting votes!

As a workaround/alternative, I just found out (I am new to this device) the faderport way to move around the timeline from barline to barline  is to set the Scroll button and use the encoder knob. It appears that using the fast forward and rewind buttons are just for that only--moving back or forth fast.

It would be a time-saving feature if the faderport documentation matched how the faderport actually operates.
