I just upgraded interfaces (2-input "iTwo" to the 8-input 1818VSL) and can't add 4 more tracks to record drums on songs we recorded previously with the iTwo. I would just import a Mixdown but I'm going to want to modify the previously recorded tracks still.

Ideas?

All i can think of is to open the Pool files and import each track. It would be a nightmare trying to reposition everything.

Thanks in advance for any help.

This sounds like a driver problem, either with AudioBox driver, dated computer hardware drivers, or both. Please try the following:

  1. Different USB ports - some ports perform better than others
  2.  Uninstall/Reinstall Universal Control: http://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us/articles/210044673-How-do-I-uninstall-and-reinstall-my-AudioBox-drivers-in-Windows-8-or-Windows-10-
  3. Install Universal Control 2.0.1: http://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-1818VSL/downloads
  4. Visit your computer manufacturer's webpage and check for updates to your USB controllers, BIOS, and motherboard/chipset
