As Macros appear to be simple XML file, can we create them in an external editor and import then into studio one?

Yes.

Your individual Macro commands are stored in a single location, reached via the [Show Macros Folder in Explorer/Finder] button at the bottom of the Macro Organizer window. Each Macro is a unique file in XML format, and it is possible to edit the XML directly if desired.

Just copy your XML file to your macro folder.
