I'm tearing my hair out trying to find an answer to what seems like a simple question.

I want to use my StudioLive16R and iPad WITHOUT my computer.

I understand that I can set up a router and do this wirelessly. I've done it. More **** to haul around. I don't need the wireless functionality.

Can I just plug the iPad into StudioLive16R via USB to use UC Surface? I've tried and UC Surface on iOS doesn't see the device.

I too want to connect an iPad Pro to my 16R via USB C, but UC Surface does not recognize it. Works fine if I plug the mixer into a laptop running UC Control. After reading the suggested article, I'm curious if it isn't UC Surface that needs updating to be compatible with Apple's latest iOS. So, the only way to connect the 16R is with a wireless network?
