How do i factory reset my RM32Ai without using Universal Control AI ?

Apple MacBook Pro A1278, OS 10.11.4, Universal Control AI 1.5.0.36497 OSX x64, RM32 AI, driver - whatever 7784 installs.

Question: Firmware can't update as UCAI asks for a password "enter access code to unlock permissions". i have never set a password, so how do i reset to factory defaults ?
