Hello there just a few questions for those who have upgraded from studio one 2 to the newest version, any help would be greatly appreciated. I am thinking about upgrading to Studio One 3 -Professional as a current Studio One 2 - Producer user. I have a few things holding me back and was hoping to get some answers here.

My first question is does studio one 3 still have a 32 bit install option? As I have some older plugins (still great plugins and a string library) which do not work on a 64bit framework or is there another way around this to host the 32bit plugins in the 64 bit install?

My second question is about importing my projects from studio one 2 into version 3, will I have to reset up my third party plugins etc. when crossing over in general is there much of an up haul.

My last question is how is the video support? As I did not have any in studio one 2 producer and would like to get back into video scoring, also does version 3 have a better way to change tempo gradually over time in the new version?

Yes there is a 32-bit version. Alternatively you can host 32-bit plugins in a 64-bit environment by using jBridge. The actual success will vary between songs, plugin's and systems. jBridge and Studio One work for some and fail for others.

The transition from version 2 to 3 is pretty smooth because it's basically the same program with a few additions. You can choose to migrate settings/presets etc. from version 2 when you install version 3.

I don't use Studio One's video option enough to answer the quality of the video options. But you can score on a video.

Changing tempo works the same in 3 as version 2

I upgraded without any trouble at all and found the new feature set useful. The plugins that were open in V2 opened in V3 . I didn't have to reload any licenses or update any plugins.

One thing I wasn't expecting is if you open a song that was recorded in V2 in V3, then you cannot save new changes to the V2 file, you must save it as V3. Since I like to preserve source material, this means I have to save a new version. Not a big deal by any means, just surprised me.

Can't help with the last two, but you won't suffer from the upgrade.
