Manually Setting predetermined velocity for entering Midi Notes manually

when transcribing material a big help would be to be able to set a velocity determined  upon entering the notes globally. I know you can adjust the velocity within a midi track but to have an option for having a predetermined velocity upon manually entering would be great.

You can do that. Just open any midi instrument part, set your chosen value in "default velocity" field (see pic below). Now, any note you manually enter in any MIDI track will be set to that default velocity, unless off course you decide to change it.

This works globally and not on just one track. Though you have to first set the default velocity on any one track. I hope this helps.
