Question

Whenever I record with my amp via USB it plays back through the amp and not the studio monitors. To get get to play through the monitors, I have to close the file, go back to the "configure device" and change it from my amp to to the interface. Any way to to change this so I can play back through monitors without closing the file?

No, not really: You can only have one usb audio device/interface (your amp or interface) active at any one time over usb. Maybe you could take an analogue feed from your amp to your interface and not connect the amp via usb?
