I think it could be cool and a quicker workflow if when opening the automation lanes instead of having to click add for anything other than Volume and Pan e.g for Inserts. If instead you can cut out the extra button clicks and just show all the possible Automation possibilities available on that track looking something like this
Volume
Pan
Decapitator
Pro-R
Echo Boy
So a list like that and once you hover over the insert that you would like to Automate it provides the options of what you can automate with that insert e.g
Volume
Pan
Decapitator
Pro-R - Decay
- Release
- Attack
Echoboy
etc...
I think it could make the workflow a lot faster saving time having to go into the menu select the insert you want then what to automate from that insert, then clicking add and apply it would save a lot of time.
Also having the ability to Pan Reverb in a track itself without having to create FX's sends separately and sending a track to the send having this as an automation choice on a track would be great.
