After upgrading to the Mar 20, 2023, 6.1.0 version, the Lyrics Display glitches if we record midi instrument.
It only happens if we are recording and receiving midi data from an instrument and the instrument overlaps the lyric timestamp. (for example, the instrument playing a long note that overlaps the position of a lyric, the lyric screen will flash to the last line of the lyrics and back). No glitching if playing back only.
This happens whether using a lyric track with no input, or using the global lyrics.
If we revert back to the Dec 9, 2022, 6.0.2 version, the issue goes away (on the same system with the same songs). (which is what we need to do until the issue is resolved as it drives the vocalists crazy)
This issue is reproducible on various MacOS versions (Monteray, Ventura) on multiple computers. Using both existing files or creating a new file. The issue persists through Jul 17, 2023 6.2.0 version.
Steps to reproduce:
- Requires S1 version greater than 6.0.1
- open S1 file with lyrics in it (lyric track with no inputs or outputs, or global lyrics)
- create a midi track armed for recording
- press the record button
- hold a long note on the instrument and watch the lyrics display glitch each time each lyrics is highlighted
