The D shortcut duplicates but tries to be "smart", guessing when to snap to bar or not, rather than just pasting at the end of the selection. I can override this by disabling snap, but it is annoying to remember to do that every time. I propose 2 separate commands, "Duplicate (smart)" and "Duplicate (absolute)".
