Currently the AES can output one of the FlexMixes. This is fine and dandy for basic mixer duties, but for creating bit-accurate AES output it would be safer/better/clearer if it could be directly routed from one of the USB channels. This would allow using some digital formats that DAW users are accustomed to when using other soundcards. As the StudioLive series is aimed at replacing a soundcard (that's what i bought my 64S for) it would be benecifial to support similar features. The particular use case i have for AES is sending MIDI through it. The direct routing would simplify other use cases too.
