Question

Using a MACBook Pro 2015 with MAC OS 10.11.5 and trying out Studio One 3 using the prime version to see if this is going to work for me.

I use an older Tascam US-600 USB interface that works fine with Garageband, Adobe Audition etc.  Studio One seems to see the interface, but playing anything into it does not come out on any track I try to create.  I see signal on the interface and I can monitor it there.  It must be something I am doing wrong in Studio One.

Some steps and troubleshooting would be welcome.

I would make sure to check your Input/Output routing within Studio One.  From within a song, go to Song-->Song Setup-->Audio I/O

You can then set up the input and output routing for your device.  This can be saved as a template and will appear under the User tab when creating a new song.
