I reserve the right to change my mind, but right now I am totally against this feature request.  VST3 is a standard that doesn't solve the problems in VST2, it further complicates development, and it further makes the entire industry more dependent on Steinberg and its horrible licenses.  Basically today you cannot develop a plugin without Steinberg allowing you to.  The real answer is to develop a good, open source plugin architecture to replace Steinberg's.

Vst is a standard. Not a great standard.  Notion seems to be the best notation software for composition.   For those of us who have made a large investment in VST libraries, the ability to run more instruments and effects seems like a logical next step.   Studio One can do it.  Why not Notion?

We're getting close to 2024, and still not support for VST3. This is just perplexing... I have used Notion for a living for many years (until now). A lot of us Notion users are getting forced to migrate to the music notation softwares that have evolved with the industry. It's a shame. Notion used to fit my workflow perfectly.

I am in support of Notion supporting VST3 instruments. Kontakt 6 had VST2 (so Notion could access the tons of Libraries that were available on KontaKt) and VST3. But in Kontakt 7, NI will only support a VST3 version which of course Notion does NOT support. As a result Kontakt 7 features and benefits as well as libraries only supported by Kontakt 7 will not be accessible by Notion 6. This presents a serious problem for Notion 6 as more and more users will drop it as time progresses. We need VST3 support in Notion.  This would be a powerful market differentiator as many other notation software packages don't support VST3 yet, but they plan to. So look out Presonus - Notion will come under heavy fire if they do and you don't!
