1) Have Roland FA-08 and Studio One Prime.

2) Configure Studio One to work with Roland FA-08.

3) Create new file.

4) Select Roland as an input for one of the instrument track.

5) Record some sounds from the Roland.  Recording works fine.

Problem  Roland FA is not listed as an output. Therefore it is impossible to playback MIDI data from Studio One on the Roland workstation.

The same test works fine in Cubase AI on the same computer with the same workstation.

Question: Please provide instructions on how to configure Studio One to be able to use Roland FA-08 as an output MIDI.

If your Roland device is available to use as an audio device for Studio One, you should be able to play back through it.   Make sure you follow the instructions in the reference manual Setup > Setup Your Audio Device.

If your audio device is showing up but not playing back, check the output assignments in menu Song > Song Setup > I/O Setup and make sure the correct outputs are enabled for use there.   If your device is not showing up as an audio device to use in Studio One check with the manufacturer to see if there is a driver for it that you need to install or update.
