Due to the limited space on the LCD screen, the StudioLive-AI mixers can only display about 19 characters for the wifi network password field. There is currently no way to work around this limitation. The only solutions are to either use a WPA password that is 19 characters or less, or use the preferred method of connection and hard-wire the mixer to your router via ethernet cable.
Technical Concerns: WPA-PSK security is designed for home and small office networks. Each wireless network device encrypts the network traffic using a 256 bit key. This key may be entered either as a string of 64 hexadecimal digits, or as a passphrase of 8 to 63 printable ASCII characters. If ASCII characters are used, the 256 bit key is calculated by applying the PBKDF2 key derivation function to the passphrase, using the SSID as the salt and 4096 iterations of HMAC-SHA1.
It is not necessary to use an excessively long passphrase in order to achieve good security. Using a passphrase of as few as 8 characters should be more than sufficient to provide a secure WPA-PSK network, as long as you use a non-dictionary-word, random string of a-z and 0-9 alphanumeric characters.
A simple random 8 character alphanumeric WPA-PSK key would look something like 2b8uwo35 which should be very easy to handle. See the following for more info:
