Question

Hello PreSonus and everybody else.

I had an idea that I would love to see and can't see on any other DAW. Basically imagine I want to open a reverb on a clap, everytime the kick hits. But I don't want to be making the automation for it manually. My idea was that you could have an effect/tool you would add to a track, this tool would analize the audio in real time (as the side chain on a compressor does), and would have a control over threshold, etc. Then you could root this signal to control any parameter on any other plugin as if it was midi signal. So then if I rooted the signal of a kickdrum to the dry/wet of a verb in another track, say a clap for instance, everytime the kick signal would go over threshold, the dry/wet would respond accordingly. And another thing would be cool, is say you are then satisfied with the results, you could merge that automation to the track and move on with the kick.
