Hi, There isn't any where near enough information here to help you. If I had to guess It would be that we're dealing with a laptop computer, that hasn't been cleaned and set up for digital audio recording...One harbinger of this is the performance monitor in Studio one, and you could call up the the computer performance monitor CTRL+SHIFT+ESC and select the performance tab and see how much processing is going on. You could have a virus, you could have an infected computer. Typically people who use their computer for a DAW simply NEVER go on line except to update software and drivers. It's also possible that your computer is having difficulty with the program.
Studio One 3 requires AT LEAST :
Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD® Athlon™ X2 processor
(Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon X4 or better recommended)
and :
- 4 GB RAM
(8 GB or more recommended)
- 30 GB hard-drive space
- Monitor with 1366 x 768 resolution
(high-dpi monitor recommended)
Again these are MINIMUM specs, and as your processing requirements increase the need for speed and memory start coming to the forefront. In questions like this complete computer and software specs are always necessary in order to help.
You might get some help by cleaning and getting your computer set up for digital audio...A simple google keyword search will get you any number of hits and ways to accomplish this. As I said, with laptops it's ESPECIALLY important... could be as simple as a power saving setting..
I recommend you start a tech service ticket right away in case none of these things help. You can always cancel it, but it takes time to get to all the tickets.
Best regards
