so my question is I am thinking of upgrading from studio one 2 and artist 2 to professional 3 but I have seen that studio one does not support many DAW's  and if it does theres a lot of work to be done to get it to set up to work 100% like for example Novation Impulse  49. theres a lot of vaping and configurations that have to been done to fully operate the midi keyboard.

It also comes with Ableton live and other softwares and have seen that persons have not come with a link or help to use other 3rd party softwares or products on studio one.... seems like would have to sell my persons equipment and get something that won't make me work more on getting  everything set up and only use part of the product instead of using it 100% ( like all the DAW's, controller or midi keyboard functions)

I have used a novation mk2 mk1 and now I use a ultra nova as my midi/hardware synth and I didn't ever have a problem with automap and using the transports to control studio one for me it hooked up in maybe 5 minutes. The automap software dosnt only control plugins it also let's you sync the controller up to your daw with step by step instructions in the program .If you do decided on novation and have any trouble I'm willing to help with anything .

I had a Novation LaunchKey 49 MKII and there was no preset in Studio One 3 for it, so I set up a new keyboard in Studio One and within a half hour I had all the controls I wanted mapped. I saved the preset and it works great. Studio One works with any MIDI device, you just need to set it up which is not difficult, if there's no preset.
