Is it possible to record my mic and monitor pc sound at the same time with AudioBox iTwo

It seems I can either listen to PC sound OR record my mic input but not both.  Is this a limitation of the usb connection?  I have read similar questions with the answer being to move the slider knob from playback to input but the problem is not "hearing" the mic its recording the mic while monitoring the sound from youtube, abelton, garage band etc....if I disable playback through the audiobox usb itwo i can now record the mic but cannot hear the sound.  If I disable recording through the audiobox I can then hear playback through the device.  If I enable both as the default device its whatever I choose first as what takes priority but still cannot do both at the same time.

Ultimately I can use the AudioBox as just my mic recorder and buy and additional headphone amp out from the computer but I thought I could do this with the single device.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with the AudioBox. Please check out these two guides, which will assist you in setting up your AudioBox:

1. This guide covers common AudioBox setup and configuration issues, as well as addresses basic reasons for the device to not seem to function properly:

2. If the above guide does not resolve your issue, the driver may need to be uninstalled and reinstalled properly. Below are instructions for how to do this:
