Something I use in Pro Tools ALL the time, especially for creating edits for stereo files of completed songs....

While the song is playing, you can tap the down arrow in time with the music, the goal is to set the selection start in perfect time to the music.  You do the same by continually tapping the down arrow in time with the music to eventually set the end of the selection.  Then you press stop, and you have a (hopefully, if you have good rhythm) perfectly looped section, that you can cut, or duplicate, whatever you're looking to do.  This is one (of many admittedly) reasons that I need to keep Pro Tools around.  If I could do this in Studio One I'd be over the moon.
