Our church is looking to upgrade. We have a FOH booth and an Online Streaming room. I want to get a SL24.4.2ai for both locations.

What I'm hoping to achieve is to have the FOH board send Post-FAT signal via firewire to the other board while still using the other Firewire port on the FOH board to capture the sermon.

Just to be clear... I do not want to daisy-chain the two boards. I want the second board to receive Direct input from the first board Post-FAT/Pre-Fader.

Thank you for your time,

Joe

FireWire connections are not designed for this operation. FireWire has a length limit of 15 feet. FW Repeaters are not supported.

Two AI Consoles can be cascaded via FireWire, giving you more inputs, acting as one large console.

What you need, is RML32 at your broadcast spot, connected via Network (Cat5/6) using AVB to the SL24AI w/ AVB Option Card installed.

You will then be able to source all 24AI inputs at the RM console over network. These would be Pre-DSP / Pre-Fader signals. You can then add DSP for each channel as a completely independant mix for broadcast stream.
