StudioLive Series III: add meter bar/display

Presently, the only way to visually track all channel and output levels concurrently with a dedicated, full time display is via external device, e.g., iPad.

Adding a meter bar/bridge across the back of mixing console is a possible solution. Another, on the SL32, might be the area to the right of the display screen, where the StudioLive logo is printed.  Having a display provides a quick means to scan for potential sound level problems.

I would say design and manufacture a dedicated metre bridge sold separately like Roland did for the VS2480, and several other manufacturers did such as studiomaster. Your correct, it would be a good addition to the SL III ecosystem.

I’d definitely purchase a dedicated meter bridge

if it were available. I did so when I had a Roland

VS2480 even though it wasn’t the most elegant of

designs, but the information included a time code /

bar/beat position led readout and channel / track

status indicators as well as the main and monitor mix

level meters. To be able to see these from across the

room made a serious impact on workflow and its a

shame there isn’t an option for my Studiolive III
