Now I think this is time Presonus should introduce a new plugin for Studio One i.e Dynamic EQ. Dynamic EQ has now been a integral part of the world of mixing and mastering. Now if Studio One will have a native Dynamic EQ plugin there will be no need for any further investment in a third party plugin. It would be great if the dynamic eq GUI will be similar to Pro EQ plugin of the Studio One but it if it happens to be something more towards a different approch in designing it, then it will be more appreciable.
I know we can have any other 3rd party dynamic eq to make our mix done but if studio one provide a native dynamic eq then we will get a very low cpu as well as a plugin which can be used directly in the mixer without popping out the actual plugin window gui.

Great request.

Dynamic EQs are extremely useful. I regularly use it to duck the lows of the bass when the Kick hits. It's a lot more subtle than side-chain compressing the entire bass.

Also note how the dynamic EQ differs from a multiband compressor - the multiband compressor splits its bands with filters, but a dynamic EQ uses the bandwidth or Q instead. This yields a smoother transition between bands and allows a lot more signal to be left untouched.

i mixed a concert yesterday with a Yamaha CL5, and the dynamic eq and multiband compressor saved the day in a enviroment where several nasal harsh voices scream at the same time ... There was a huge difference when we applied those 2 FX

i have a presonus studiolive 24.4.2 at our church, and am looking for an upgrade, and the studiolive 3 , 32 channels would be ideal, if it had more varied FX. A bunch of compressors and equalizers, are not really neccesary, since you typically choose one , maybe 2 of each. Rather the FX should be more varied with dynamic eq, multiband, and maybe 3 of each of the others. That would be perfect for live usage.

I am still waiting and i will most likely buy the first reasonable priced 32 channel mixer that will have dynamic eq and multiband compression.

It's simple guys....Just make Pro EQ2 a dynamic EQ. It's long over due. Studio One's plugins are top of the line so why do i need to go to third party plugins for a dynamic EQ. Let make it happen people!!

Do yourself the best favour you ever will by buying the Tokyo Dawn package for £200 which has a brilliant dynamic eq and in my opinion beats Ozone hands down for a fraction of the money. I use this amazing toolkit for everything from tracking to mastering because all the plugins are simply superb! The best £200 you will ever spend.

More specifically in terms of the feature request, it needs to be able to select a different sidechain per band.  Instead of just a single sidechain source that is toggled on or off for any frequency band in the EQ, have a dropdown per band to select which sidechain source we want to use for that band.  We would select the sidechain sources at the top of the plugin as we would already do now, except when we go to activate the sidechain per band, there would be a separate dropdown or something to tell it which sidechain source to use.  Steinberg's Frequency 2 plugin does this in Cubase 11 and I'm looking for this in Studio One.  Even Fabfilter Pro Q 3 only has a sidechain activation per band but doesn't give you the choice of which sidechain to use for that band.  A second EQ instance would be required.
