Hi:)

I would like to change my workstation to AMD Threadripper /Ryzen but have a couple of questions.

So iam worried about, usb interface, audio dropouts

1) I own Zoom uac-2 interface, read about the problems on amd platform. The info was before Ryzen series. Can anyone help me to get information if this interface will get working with TR4/or ryzen7 + Studio One 3 Pro +Windows10 ?.I ve aske question to Zoom but still didn't get response-propably was removed or they just make products compatible only with Intel.Offical state is:

Requirments :

* Operation is not guaranteed with CPUs from Atom, Celeron or Pentium series or CPUs made by AMD.
** Only USB host controllers with Intel Chipsets are supported. Operation is not guaranteed when used with USB hubs or expansion cards.

really need any answer

2) I read about problems with dropouts when 14+ cores are on platform with win10(MMCSS). I will get i ssues when i move to Threadripper 1950x?(16 cores,32threads) or Studio One3 will be optimized due to:

http://answers.presonus.com/17315/why-longer-have-control-over-multiprocessing-and-cpu-core

Should pick 12 cores 24 threads just for safety?

Thanks in advance for any advices/help Intel cost too much for me(twice as that power) so that's why i would like to change to AMD.

Please Help if you can.

My recommendation is to put in a support ticket directly to PreSonus and report back your findings here. You will get back with an employee soon that way.
