I am using the auto punch feature for Studio One 3.5.1 Professional on an iMac 2012 3.6ghz 24gb RAM running Sierra, and it has worked flawlessly for me until now. I am recording a guitar part, and I set the loop section of where I want to auto punch in on the track I already have a recording on, set the track header a few bars before the auto punch section, press record, and it plays back the audio that I already recorded on the track all the way until about 2 beats before the section i'm about to record in. It just cuts to silence on that audio track. What is happening here? I can't figure out what changed to cause this, any ideas? Also, bonus question, is there a way to just simply auto punch in over an existing audio recording on a track and have the auto punch just replace what is already on the track for that section? Or do I have to delete the audio region I plan on auto punching over every time? Any advice or tips are appreciated, thanks!

Hi,

Try turning off Pre-Roll in the Metronone Setup screen to see if it affects that behavior.  If not, please try to make short video of it and create a support ticket and submit the link to the video with the support ticket.
