I am using Studio One 3.5  Artist version and recently I tried to use karaoke track recorded in .WAV format which is >3.5 Mb size. I dragged and dropped the file from Browse explorer to create a track. But I see that only a part of the wav file has the information and remaining part is silent (no data). When I play the same track on my media player it plays the whole track though.

Is this a known problem?

Your Karaoke Track may have what's called Digital Rights Management (DRM) built into it preventing unauthorized copying of the file. You should contact the vendor of the audio track where you got it from to find out if they can sell you a WAV file that is not encoded with DRM.
