Using Capture, can I overwrite or add a single track essentially creating an overdub for the mix?

1. Is it possible to play back single tracks therough my AR12USB  in Capture?

2. Is it possible to rerecord or add a single track to a mix in Capture?

I can only play back the stereo mix through Capture2 > AR12. I can't isolate solo channels. What am I doing incorrectly?

Counsel is greatly appreciated.  The manual doesn't answer my question.
