Thanks for your response B.

I’m on an early 2013 MacBook Pro (2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 4 Cores, Internal SSD, 16GB RAM) with Thunderbolt 1.

Just wondering if anyone’s having any issues with the Quantum (TB2) on a TB1 Mac (before I pull the trigger and order)?

Thanks again!

The Quantum is a fully certified Thunderbolt device.  It was tested with many Mac systems.  There is no functional or performance difference connected to a TB1 connection.  You can still chain up to 4 Quantums.

TB1 is still fast enough for most.  TB1 is faster and TB3 faster still.  Also TB3 can handle high res displays and USB C connectivity.

The Quantum will work fine with your computer.
