Hey, can I just have a copy of the old program that connected the AudioBox iTwo to my PC (Windows 7, 64 bit) ? The old program, before Universal Control, worked absolutely fine, and I recorded with it quote a bit.

but uninstalling the old program & "upgrading" to Universal Control led to:

  • Computer failing to recognize AudioBox, computer displaying errors with the drivers of the audiobox when recognized
  • 5 hours of troubleshooting with no results whatsoever
  • 2 dozen guides on how to treat possible issues, with no results,
  • probably a dozen Reinstalls and uninstalls, including ones where i went to and deleted files in 'appdata' and 'prefetch' folders as recommended by the official Presonus answers, with no results
  • I also switched off between different lengths of cables, with, you guessed it, no help

Hi!

- Same issue here (AudioBox-22VSL). Work fine before the update, and now it's crash 2-3 time each day (I tried reinstalling guide, change the USB port etc.) and I also need access to the "old" versions of the drivers (I don't know witch one exactly, but one before the "Universal Control"), for Win 7 64-bit

- Also, I can't registrer the product online to contact the support, it's said the ID is not valid (it's the number under the Audiobox).

Hi!

No. Seem this forum not read by  Presonus Tech. I just switched to my intern audio card, and now my 300$ Audiobox serve to nothing...

Hi!

I reinstalled all my computer this week, and the issue still there after installing the last drivers for my AudioBOX USB. I only tested this time with Ableton Live Lite... The big issue was statics noises and some ground noise (with a audio-technica p48)

I finally found today a old version of drivers on Softpedia (Presonus_AudioBoxUSB_2.8_X64) , and GOOD NEWS (For me at least) it's now work perfectly. No ground noise, no static noise, it's just perfect.

So it's kind of Christmas for me, I can use my Presonus Audiobox USB again.

Maybe you need to look in this seriously, something wrong with the last versions of the Universal drivers.

Hey  Sylvain Martineau, I searched softpedia but failed to find the file you got... this is killing me, because my AudioBox is just taking dust and Presonus doesn't seem to give a F*** about it.

Hi Presonus, I work on a local hi-school project for recording studio and we bought iTwo studio bundel. After a similar issues with the drivers we found that Windows 7(64) didn't approve your driver sign. When we manually disable Windows drivers sign check, every thing works good but we need to do this every time we start our PC. Just to let you know.

I take the trouble to come back to this post in case you still have the problem.

To remedy this, the length of the USB AB M / M cable must be reduced.

55 cm works very well!

So much for the problem of audiobox not supported by windows 7 64 bit. Resolved
