Why did UC Surface lose the library of presets?

I read the article regarding OS X and the technical reasons why VSL was discontinued.

What does this have to do with losing the folders of preset dynamics/EQ/etc?
related to an answer for: Why did UC Surface lose much of VSL's functionality?

Take a moment to read the software implementation guide to learn how UC works. 

Go to the download section for your mixer (link here) 

There you will find a guide called the StudioLive™ Software Library Reference Manual

Please review this for how UC Surface works: Section 5.5 page 41 covers Scenes and Presets.
