I have Studio One 2 Artist, and I downloaded the plug in to allow me to save my recording as an mp3.  The mp3 file won't play in iTunes (or Windows media player, either).  What did I do wrong?  This shouldn't be that complicated!

Ok, so just a question for you... the MP3 function is a purchased plugin I hate assuming... is this the case with you? The headline for the questions field asks for information you did not provide that might help answer your question as well.

Gadget, yes, I purchased the plugin from PreSonus.  This is what I'm talking about:

I exported my mixdown as an mp3, but iTunes does not play it.  This is what my export settings look like:

So have you imported the song to your songlist in Itunes? So many questions, so little time! Chuckle

Gadget,  it worked!  I went through the process again, and this time I imported the mp3 file into iTunes.  Thanks for helping me figure it out!
