When I rotate the mixer to input a high pitch sound that destroys my ears comes.Help

Description.I use a neewer nw-700 Professional Studio Microphone connected to my audiobox USB 96. I use m-audio av 32 Monitors which i don't know for what reason Doesnt work.(amplify the Sound)
Thats a Problem for later.And headphones=SR850 Professional Studio Samson
I downloaded the programs Universal Control and Studio one 3
I want to Record songs

Problem :
Head Phones Button rotated everything ok
Inst mic rotated to max and it it hears like wjen ur driving at high speed and u open the window slighly
Inst mic Off
Mixer rotated..the same Sound
Now inst mic and Mixer rotated(on) and the sounds gets Louder Till a New Sound comes.A HIGH PITCHED SOUND that destroys my ears.
Why?and how can i fix it.

Not sure about the monitor speakers.  You may try using TRS balanced cables.

The noise you describe and fairly specific circumstance that causes it, sounds like what we like to call... "Feedback".  The mic is picking up what the headphones are putting out.  It loops and loops and builds and builds until you get a sound that would even make Optimus Prime proud.

Turn your input and headphone level down a bit.  You might also try using headphones with more isolation.

The mic you use may also have an impedance switch.  Try adjusting this to a more comfortable degree.
