I'm interested in purchasing the Studiolive Series 3 mixer. I am currently using a Studiolive 32 AI mixer as FOH. I would like to move the AI to use as a audio/video mixer and replace it with the Series III 32 mixer. I currently have a Presonus SL-Dante-Mix card in the 32AI. Can I connect a CAT6 to the out of the audio network in series 3 and into the dante card of the Studiolive AI? (I still have the original card that came in the Studiolive AI as well.)

What you are asking is not possible, StudioLive Series III is an AVB only product. AVB and DANTE are two completely different Audio Over Ethernet protocols that both use Cat 5e / 6 for their medium. The original card for the Ai was only for UC Net control of the mixer. There is also an AVB card option for the Ai mixers, however it is not compatible with the Series III AVB implementation.

There is no conversion available to go from AVB to Dante.

You have a couple of options:

Get another Ai Mixer with DANTE card option and use the Audinate software on a computer to manage your routing.

OR

Sell your Ai Mixer and invest in a Series III Console as it's replacement, and then consider getting either a Rack Mount Series III to use as a Monitor Mixer or Stage Box, or use a Network Stage Box, all of which can be managed from the front panel of the Series III mixer and/or from inside Universal Control.
