Windows not "seeing" StudioLive 24R as a device via Ethernet /CAT6 connection

Hi there

I have a StudioLive 24R connected to my PC (Win 10) via an ethernet CAT6 cable.

Universal Control works fine, and I'm able to set levels and see input through mic channels, so I know the interface works, as do mics, cables, etc.

HOWEVER, neither ASIO4ALL, nor Ableton Live 10 (DAW I am using), nor Windows "sees" or "recognizes" the audio interface. It does not appear on my device manager either.

The funny thing is, I'm able to use Universal Control and control gain fine -- it's just that neither my DAWs nor ASIO4ALL recognize it.

I am suspicious that it has something to do with networking. I normally run NordVPN, and I noticed Universal Control would not detect the 24R when it was on. When I turn off VPN, Universal Control works fine, however, Windows/ASIO4ALL/Ableton still do not "see" it's there.

I have not tried it via USB, but tbh USB would kind of defeat the whole purpose of investing in this equipment.

How would I go about making Windows/ASIO4ALL/Ableton recognize the 24R being "there" ?

Recording over the Audio Network port requires your computer to have an AVB port. Its unlikely that your PC has an AVB connection as its not native to a PC to have such a port. You will need to verify this and if you do not have a AVB port then you will need to use the USB connection.
